You can avoid patches being installed by disconnecting from the internet until you are ready for the game to install new patches.
To avoid not being able to use this exploit, either do not install new patches before using it or delete the patches. Additionally, this exploit was performed on an unpatched version of the game. Note: It is highly recommended to create a save before starting this exploit, just in case you accidentally take all the items from the chest. You can get high level weapons from the orange chest. Repeat this exploit as many times as desired. Open it, take all but one item, save, and then reload the save. There is an orange chest in the room next to the shop on the Nexus. You will know they are frozen when they fall to the ground, unable to move. Set the difficulty to Normal or higher or else enemies will die before freezing. The enemy has to die from this attack to get the trophy. Then, press X to jump and Triangle to perform a melee attack. Use the Cryo Beam skill to freeze an enemy. The Cryo Beam (Tech) skill is required to get the "Icebreaker" trophy.
